Exemplary service. Monitoring and maintenance of photovoltaic systems
Why monitoring one's own photovoltaic plant?
Thanks to GSE contributions, provided as Government incentives to the owners of photovoltaic systems on the basis of the KW/h produced and the possibility to make profit from the self-consumed or sold energy, each investment in photovoltaic energy offers a great economic potential. But without a constant monitoring, results might not match up expectations because of anomalies the owner of the system can't detect. Control and monitoring are synonymous with efficiency and profitability.
What is Solis Lab?
Solis Lab, internal department of the Company committed to maintenance and monitoring, is the operative centre of the assistance service; through a system of remote control directly connected to the customer's system inverter, the plant productivity is monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. SolisLab continuously analyzes and elaborates the data collected in order to intervene in case of anomalies and study new technologies to apply to the future photovoltaic plants, in the perspective of a continuous technical evolution.
Which are the advantages of monitoring?
Only thanks to the continuing control of the plant output it's possible to optimize its profit, fully exploiting the potential of the investment in photovoltaic energy so that GSE contributions can match the perspectives of the business plan . Through a prognostic analysis of the photovoltaic plant productivity and the detection of anomalies, Solis offers each customer the certainty of a plant which is always at the top of its productivity and efficiency. It's also possible to request the periodic production report offered by Solis, a simple but functioning device to better visualize the improvements and the advantages offered by the monitoring system.
How does the monitoring service work?
The monitoring service on photovoltaic plants takes place through the use of a datalogger device that, thanks to the connection to the inverter, allows gathering all the data connected to the production ( plant efficiency, instant power coming from the photovoltaic modules, power led into the network) and their analysis to detect possible mistakes and anomalies, evaluating the actual profitability of the system. In case of anomalies it's possible to request Solis immediate intervention in order to solve the problem as soon as possible. The customer can also have a daily, monthly, yearly or multi-year report of the plant production data in order to make comparative analysis in time. The data collected by the datalogger, accessible on the Internet through our servers, are immediately sent to SolisLab research centre through ADSL or GPRS. In the event working anomalies are detected, it will be possible to request the intervention of our technicians who will propose the best possible solutions to bring the system back to its correct operation.
Thus, monitoring is an essential system to optimize maintenance interventions able to meet real necessities.
